ℹ️What is TURSAB? TURSAB is not a private tourism association — it is the OFFICIAL state authority under the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism that issues and audits travel agency licenses. Operating ground transfers without an active TURSAB license is an ILLEGAL tourism activity in Turkey by law (Tourism Law No. 2634).

🚓Roadside inspections: Turkish Gendarmerie (Jandarma) and Traffic Police regularly stop airport transfer vehicles on intercity routes and check for a valid TURSAB certificate on board. If the driver cannot show one: (1) the vehicle is IMPOUNDED on the spot (passengers must find another ride immediately), (2) heavy administrative fines are issued to the driver AND the vehicle owner, (3) there is NO official passenger accident insurance active during the ride at all.
