Ephesus transfer from Izmir: private vehicle, licensed guide required
Private transport from Izmir Airport or your hotel to Ephesus and the surrounding area. At site-entry checks we encounter at places such as Ephesus and Pamukkale, our commercial transfer vehicle is treated as a tour vehicle and a licensed tourist guide is required on board. This concerns how our vehicle service is assessed, even when you only ask for transport and wish to explore independently.

If your flight is delayed or rescheduled, we keep a vehicle waiting or arrange another unless you cancel. Flight waiting and cancellation are always free.
Pay after your transfer is complete.
No prepayment. Payment is made after the transfer is complete; we do not charge for a service you have not received. You can request cash (TRY/EUR), bank transfer for local customers, or PayPal or crypto for international customers when booking.
Why can a guide fee apply when I only need transport?
You may only need transport and prefer to explore the site independently. However, during inspections we encounter at places such as Ephesus and Pamukkale, our transfer vehicle is treated as a tour vehicle when it enters the archaeological site, and a licensed tourist guide is required on board. A guide fee can therefore arise even when you only request transport.
If you do not want a guided tour, we can offer another option: we take you to an agreed meeting point near the site. From there, you take a local yellow taxi to the visitor entrance and explore independently. After your visit, you return by taxi to our meeting point, and we provide your return transfer.
This option may cost less than a guided service, particularly for a small number of passengers. Before you decide, we explain the transfer price, the separate taxi cost and the waiting arrangements for our vehicle, so you can compare the total cost of both options.

Planning your Ephesus visit
The usual plan is airport to Ephesus with the guide, then on to your hotel in Kuşadası, Selçuk or Şirince; or a day trip from your hotel. Book the vehicle as hourly hire at 30 € per hour: as hire, it covers the airport transfer too, and the vehicle stays with you between the sites. Send your flight time or the time you want to leave the hotel; we fit the visit to the opening hours and the heat of the day.
Selçuk, Şirince and Kuşadası
Selçuk is 70 km from the airport (60 min), the transfer costs €50 per vehicle; Şirince is a separate route at €55. On summer weekends the Selçuk road is busy, especially on Sunday towards the airport; the driver leaves earlier and the price does not change.

Can we go to Ephesus without a guide?

If you prefer to explore independently, we can take you to an agreed meeting point outside the archaeological site. You continue to the visitor entrance by a local yellow taxi, visit on your own, and return by taxi to our meeting point for your return transfer. We agree the meeting point, taxi costs and vehicle waiting arrangements before booking. This may cost less than a guided service for a small party.

How long does an Ephesus visit take?
Plan two to three hours for Ephesus, half an hour to an hour for the House of the Virgin Mary; with a stop in Şirince it becomes a full day. Book the vehicle as hourly hire (30 € per hour) and it covers the airport transfer as well.
Can we do Ephesus on the way from the airport to Kuşadası?
Yes, that is the most common plan: airport, Ephesus with the guide, then your hotel in Kuşadası or Selçuk. Send the flight time and we plan the timing.
When is the best time to visit?
Early morning or late afternoon in summer; the site is very hot at midday. Opening hours and ticket prices change, so check the official museum site; the car always has cold water.
